MAESTRA provides support, visibility, and community to the women and nonbinary people who make the music in the musical theater industry. The membership is made up of composers, music directors, orchestrators, arrangers, copyists, rehearsal pianists and other musicians.

As the Director of Marketing and Communications, I led the planning, development, and implementation of all of the organization’s marketing, strategies, communications, and public relations activities, both external and internal.

RISE Theatre—a program of Maestra— seeks to build a more equitable and inclusive theatre industry by centralizing DEIA tools and resources through a network of partners and a national personnel directory that supports and amplifies folks from underrepresented backgrounds, including but not limited to people of color, women, trans, nonbinary, deaf, and disabled theatre professionals.

As the Director of Marketing and Communications, I supported this public service tool and partner with the RISE Program Manager to develop strategic and creative content for intentional marketing efforts.

Literacy Partners strengthens families through a two-generation approach to education. With free classes, community workshops, and educational media, low-income and immigrant parents and caregivers develop literacy and language skills they need to succeed in today’s world.

As the Marketing Manager, I’ve executed campaigns integrating marketing communications and fundraising across multimedia platforms. In addition to, using my branding expertise to reach and connect with our audiences for a fresh perspective!

A project from start to finish!

Ballet Hispánico

As the Marketing & Administrative Associate, I managed the marketing and brand campaign projects for the School of Dance programming.

This includes creating and designing marketing strategies for our merchandise, pop-up shops, upcoming 50th Anniversary for the school, auditions, events, and performances. As well as providing organizational content for our official school year brochure, managing community partnerships, and volunteering programs.

As a response to COVID-19, my team and I came up with the idea of #BUnidos which has successfully grown into a full-blown video series campaign offering free, online classes and resources to the community. The campaign, with the help of others, has evolved to dedicating the three arms of Ballet Hispánico: the professional company, the School of Dance, and Community Arts Partnership (CAP).

Verge of Verse

As the former Social Media Editor and Marketing Manager at this online start-up, my team and I catered to visually please our loyal following by creating captivating images and graphics to allow shares, likes, and new opportunities for creatives to reach out to us and vice versa.

Later, as VOV’s Creative Consultant, I supported the online platform in developing marketing strategies, partnerships, and continuing to grow our brand identity.

Story of SHE

As the Communications Intern at SHE, I led the social media platforms for this small but growing business dedicated to representing the entrepreneurship of women of color. For my final project, I’ve developed a brand campaign in efforts to gaining more followers and growing the community.

In the English Language Studies Program at The New School, I've designed the department's flyers, posters, and manuals (both print and online) for various programs, upcoming classes, events, and info sessions.

Below is a flipbook of the official Student Manual and CTE Handbook I enjoyed designing!

We are delighted that you have decided to study English in the English Language Studies Department at The New School. All of our ESL classes are college preparation courses. We focus on academic English and on developing the skills that you will need to study in a degree program, such as academic writing, presentation skills, extensive reading, critical thinking, and solid vocabulary and grammar knowledge.
